"Must-Read" Testimony from a 55 Year Old Blind Woman

I'm not much of a writer but it's really very simple. Your Kidz Blitz last year changed my life. I had been to lots of different churches and read and prayed and thought I was trying to do what I was "supposed" to do to know the Lord had saved me, but I'd just heard fire and brimstone and screaming sermons that all seemed so negative and condemning, I usually felt more beaten down when I left the church than when I'd gone, or after I had listened to the TV sermon or whatever.

I was 55, had a Masters degree and had just retired from a pressure filled job, but that little kid's show was so sweet and clear and exactly what I needed even though it was not meant for me. Everything you illustrated in the skits and games had understandable lessons attached and it was just what I needed to hear, and during the last prayer when someone was giving the invitation for the kids to accept Jesus Christ as their personal savior and "be my best friend forever and ever", it was like the proverbial bolt of lightning for me, and I have never been the same. Your Kidz Blitz changed my life and several of my family members now go to West Ridge with me and they are almost as enthusiastic about West Ridge as I. You all had one target group when you held your Kidz Blitz last year, and I know I wasn't it, but you blessed my life in a way you'll never be able to imagine, and I thank you.

Kidz Blitz is one of the most dynamic events we have ever had at Prestonwood. The program is packed full of high energy activities and offers many opportunities for participation from the kids. We liked it so well, we are having them back next year!

Thank you for such a successful event. It was not only enjoyed by the children but the adults as well. Kidz Blitz was the buzz word for a while. East Coast Christian Center ministers to the community each summer through a backpack outreach. We gave away 2000 completely filled backpacks to children from the ages of preschool-high school. Kidz Blitz agreed to come in early and set up the stage for our Backpack Sunday event. Donnie Slade and his wife were exceptional. They promoted the event for us and then for the two nights following we ministered to the community through the Kidz Blitz presentation. The front of the sanctuary was filled with children and their parents giving their hearts to the Lord. I believe the count was almost 100. This was an awesome way to minister to more children than a VBS ever could. In the previous years, we had a little over 200 in attendance for VBS. We had over 450 children and adults attend the Kidz Blitz Live each night. We look forward to having you come again and present the Word in such a dynamic way!

Just a quick follow up to your FANTASTIC presentation at Groesbeck Church this past Sunday. My eight-year son Jacob (seated in the front row) and eleven year-old daughter Nicole had a great time. As my wife and I were helping our kids get ready for bed, Jacob said "I'm not sure if I've asked Jesus to come live in my heart." What an opportunity! Becky (my wife) asked him if he wanted to be sure that Jesus lives in his heart, and he said yes. Becky and I spent the next 15-20 minutes talking to Jacob about what he'd seen & heard in your presentation, and about sin, grace, and salvation, and asked him again if he was sure about wanting Jesus to be his personal Savior, and he again said yes. We led him in praying, asking him to "fill in the blanks" in his own words about sins he'd committed, and how he wanted Jesus to live inside of him. What a great thrill as a parent to be able to lead your child to Christ!! It was definitely the highlight of 1999 for me. We are now a fully saved and Christian family! Thanks so much for your ministry, and the seeds you planted in my son's heart. It was a pleasure to meet, and work with you all. May God continue to richly bless you and your ministry.

First I want to tell you what an influence you have had on my ministry as a Children's Pastor. I don't know if you realize this but you came to Weldon N.C. at a God appointed time. I was just stepping into this ministry after 13 years of leading worship. I soaked up your seminar teaching like a dry sponge. It was excellent. You unloaded a wealth of knowledge that night and the Holy Spirit really made it stick. Your Website is helpful also. God has taken the Children's ministry here to a new level. The fruit is evident and the feed back from the parents has been quite a surprise to me. The Lord has really used this ministry to take me deeper.
