In fulltime ministry
since 1980, including planting two churches and serving as Senior Pastor,
Roger Fields worked exclusively in adult
ministry.
With no experience in children's ministry, he accepted the challenge of
leading the children's program in a growing church in Florida in 1995.
There he began to develop Kidz Blitz, a ministry focused on conducting
shared-experience events for the family and developing a new style of
children's ministry curriculum.
With a desire to raise
the quality of ministry to families and children, he launched a new kind
of children's ministry resource in 1996, Kidz Blitz Ministries. To become more centrally located to a
hectic travel schedule that began to take him coast to coast, he soon
after moved his family back to his home town of Lexington, KY.
Roger's Bio
Later, he
recruited Ken Dovey, a former ministry associate from Florida. Ken's
ministry experience and creative abilities provided a necessary
ingredient propelling Kidz Blitz to become a fresh resource to
children's pastors/directors.
Experiencing rapid
growth, Kidz Blitz soon became synonymous with high-energy children's
ministry. Kidz Blitz later added Chris Williams and Donnie Slade as event directors allowing three
teams to cover western, central and eastern America.
Today Kidz Blitz
crosses all major denominational lines as it continues to expand its unique approach to family events and children's
ministry curriculum across America.
